About Angela

I did not find this work because life was easy. I found it because life stopped me.
They say hindsight is 20/20 but only in the more recent years did I really understand what that meant. It all started the year I lost my dog and was in two car accidents that stopped my world as I knew it. Losing my dog had already cracked something open in me, and before I had even found my footing in that grief, the accidents came. Up until this point I was a type A personality, I worked hard and played even harder. It was toxic in many ways. Looking back, I did not know how to stop, so life stopped me. It took two car accidents to wake me up and create the stillness I needed to find my way forward. The first one hurt me, but it did not stop me. I was healing, and I tried to pick my life up exactly where I had left off. Five months later, the second one happened — and this time, I could not keep going. I was no longer healing. The doctors said there was nothing they could do, pain management was the path forward. I could not accept that this would be my life. I had nerve damage in my neck and lower back. Pain radiated through my right arm and leg. My fingers went numb, my leg would give out, and eventually I needed a cane to walk. I did not just lose mobility. I lost the version of myself I knew how to be. My life went from go, go, go to STOP. A funny thing happens when you are no longer part of the noise, the noise of the hustle and bustle becomes more than one can take. I had to sell my business; we bought a house in the country. The house came with a chicken coop, and we thought caring for chickens might give me a reason to keep moving. So, each day I carried a half gallon of water out to their coop, I opened the coop, and I made a second trip to close their coop at night. This was so hard in the beginning, but my partner made me accountable, he somehow got me to take that walk even on my worst days. I am grateful to him for this tough love. For after a while I found myself going out to the chicken coop just to say hi to the chickens. This led to me taking short walks around the property with my two dogs. And this led to my awakening, it opened me up to awareness, and through awareness, I started to heal. But this healing happened because I opened to healing the whole me, for the physical could not heal until the emotional, mental, and spiritual sides of me were also ready to heal. It did not happen overnight, but slowly I started to see things differently. What I once believed had taken everything from me began to reveal itself as one of the greatest redirections of my life. I had been on a path of self-destruction, moving further and further away from my highest and best path forward. The accidents forced a course correction I would not have chosen, but one I can now see with gratitude. I began to understand that my soul had not abandoned me. It was guiding me through an experience I could not yet understand. This is why so many people who work with me find their way back to remembrance — remembrance of who they are, their Authentic SELF, and why they are here. I see in you where I once was, so you can see in me a way forward. Together, we can see what could not be seen alone. My healing journey has allowed me to hold light in the places I once feared. Now I use that light to help illuminate the path for others as they find their own unique way forward. We were never meant to walk this path alone. When we find our SELF and our Authentic Voice, we become the light that helps others remember their own. For all this, and so much more, I am grateful.
